The main activities for the Convocation Ceremony are:
1. Monday, December 19 , 2016 – Convocation Lecture, to be delivered by the Honourable Minister of Science and Technology, Dr.

WHAT IS IJMB

 WHAT IS IJMB ?
The full meaning is INTERIM JOINT MATRICULATION BOARD is an advanced level programme that secures students 200 level admission in NIGERIA and foreign universities via direct entry.

WHAT YEAR DID IJMB START?
IJMB was established in 1970 by the Interim Common Services Agency[ICSA].

HOW DO I KNOW IJMB IS RECOGNIZED AND CERTIFIED BY NUC FOR 200LEVEEL ADMISSION?
The programme is certified by NUC(Nigeria University Commission) CHECK PAGE 4 OF JAMB BROCHURE, ITEM 2.2(2) TO CONFIRM IJMB AS A REQUIREMENT FOR UNIVERSITY EDUCATION ALSO CONFIRM IN PAGE 2(ENTRY BY DIRECT APPLICATION(DE) SECTION 1.0.05).

WHAT IS THE DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME?
The time frame for the programme is NINE[9] MONTHS divided into two[2] semesters.

ARE THERE LIMITATIONS TO THE COURSE I CAN STUDY WITH IJMB RESULT/CERTIFICATE?
NO, IJMB result qualifies students to study any of their desired courses in the university be it Science, Social science or Art courses.

WHAT IS THE VALIDITY PERIOD OF IJMBE RESULT?
The good news is that it DOES NOT expire like UTME,REMEDIAL result which is just for a year.Consequently, the result can be used for many years.

HOW DO I KNOW THE BEST INSTITUTE TO ENROLL WITH?
Statistics show ostensibly that 95 per cent of candidates that enrolled with us passed the examination with very good grades annually and we dont just leave our candidates after the examination

– we assist with admission processing and still keep in touch to help solve any issue that may arise in the university thus you gain a great deal by boarding our train.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR THE PROGRAMME?
* Students seeking admission into the university.
* Students who failed UTME/ POST UTME EXAM.
* Students who passed UTME/ POST UTME EXAM but unable to gain admission.
* Students with awaiting results.

* Anyone that wishes to pass through university regardless of academic background, tribe, status etc

I AM MARRIED, WORKING OR CAN'T COME FOR THE LECTURES CAN I STILL ENROLL?
Yes you can. call for details on that.

HOW DO I KNOW IF IJMB IS REAL?
Its simple, we have several ijmb results of our ex. students who are now in the university of their choices to show as an evidence that we are genuine and real. Currently now, we have several students in the hostel right now who came from various states in NIGERIA for the program. When you get here, you will see them and you will be rest assure that you are in a safer hands.

WHAT ABOUT RELIGION? DOES IT AFFECT THE IJMB PROGRAM?
No! we are not bias in this aspect. Every friday, christain do their fellowship and muslim do theirs separately.

WHAT ARE THE MERITS OF THE PROGRAMME?
* The programme is available for all university courses.
* The result gives you direct admission into 200 level in the university
* Its the ONLY A’ LEVEL PROGRAMME that allows instalmental payment.
* You dont have to write UTME exam.
* JAMB/REMEDIAL offers 100 level admission but IJMBE gives 200 level admission.
* With JAMB you can only choose a university but IJMBE offers multiple options for admission.
* Once you are admitted for this programme , it is like you are in 100 level because after the completion of the programme, you will start from 200 level in the university.

* Affordable school fees and hostel with good facilities.

CAN I PAY THE SCHOOL FEES ON INSTALMENT?

KWARAPOLY Rector Denied Increased In School fees

The Rector, Kwara State Polytechnic,
Alhaji Mas’ud Elelu, on Friday said that the institution had not increased its school fees.
Addressing newsmen in Ilorin, the rector debunked rumours circulating in the social media that the school had increased its school fees.
“The campaign on the social media is callous and not a true representation of the institution’s
authorities.
“I urge the general public to always seek clarification when they are in doubt over activities of the school,’’ Elelu said.
The rector advised the public to verify information on fees and other activities of the school on the institution’s official website.
He explained that the institution was involved in legitimate businesses to sustain its operations in order to survive the current economic recession.
Elelu also described as untrue speculations that the institution asked students to pay before
mobilising them for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
“Any of our graduates that is yet to be mobilised for the NYSC scheme must have either been expelled, is sick or has a carryover in a course,’’
the rector said.
He advised the public to always clarify issues with the school rather than rely on Social Media which, he said, are subject to abuse.
According to him, students may not be admitted into the hostels as the institution is collaborating with the private sector on the rehabilitation of
the facility.

AAUA VC Charges Students to Uphold Varsity’s Values, Shun Electoral Violence

The Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University,Akungba Akoko, Ondo State,Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, has advised students of the
institution to uphold AAUA’s tenets and values of excellence and integrity, and to avoid being used as willing tools in the hands of those he called desperate politicians in the
coming gubernatorial election in
the state.

The Professor of Agriculture Economics gave the advice at
an interactive meeting he held
with the leadership of the Students Union of the Institution.

He called on them to focus on
their primary reason for being in
school in order to join the growing ranks of their colleagues who have won laurels by being outstanding in
national examinations and who
are flying high the flag of AAUA
in their respective careers.

Prof Ajibefun, who used the meeting to explain recent development in the institution, assured them that Management would always prioritise their welfare, saying the students
remain the primary reason academic and non-academic staff exist in the school.

He said, “Let me assure you that Management will continue to interact with you as the need
arises to shed light on various
issues and clear misconceptions that may arise.

“Let me also commend you for
providing good leadership for the thousands of our students and for proving to them that student unionism could successfully be done without being violent, cantankerous or confrontational.

The Varsity boss commended
the students’ leadership for doing their utmost in preventing the last student riot from escalating, even as he said Management did its best to nip in the bud the last strike action
by academic staff to no avail.

He also took time out to explain
the circumstances that led to the recent suspension of some academic staff saying the disciplinary measures were not
aimed at gagging the local chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) as insinuated in some social media postings, saying it is a routine administrative punitive measure aimed at disciplining some
unruly lecturers who went round
the campus disrupting normal
academic work and verbally and
physically assaulting some of
their senior colleagues who were going about their lawful duties.

He cautioned, “Do not listen to
rumours and postings on the social media saying management is fighting ASUU.

That is far from the truth.
Management only acted the way it should when some HoDs and Deans wrote to the Vice Chancellor alleging physical and verbal assault from a group of academic staff while performing their lawful duties.

And since the Office of the Vice
Chancellor is the custodian of
the university laws, the onus is
therefore on me to defend them
by upholding the laws.”

In their responses, the students
pleaded with the Management
to pardon the suspended for
embarrassing the Vice Chancellor and other members of Management in the boys’hostel last session, saying that the erring students would have learnt their lessons by now and that Management, as carry parents, should take them back.
They also called on Management and the academic staff to sheathe their swords and work together in harmony to ensure a stable academic calendar and a favourable index rating.

Responding, Prof Ajibefun said
Management would look into
the issues raised. He said when
the panel looking into the violent conduct protest that led
to the suspension of the
students submits its report,
Management would do the
needful.

Prof Ajibefun assured them that
Management would always be
attentive to their needs and that
no stone would be left unturned
in the quest to make their stay
in the institution memorable
and make the academic
environment conducive for
learning and research.

Also at the meeting the Deputy
Vice Chancellor (Academic),
Prof. Oluyemisi Adebowale; the
Bursar, Mrs Olubunmi Ologun;
the Librarian, Dr. Rotimi
Egunjobi; and the Dean of
Student Affairs, Dr Bolanle
Ogungbamila, among other
senior officers of the
institution.

The Student Union leadership
were led by its Chairman, Com.
Odunyemi Adegbola; his Vice,
Com. Rita Ayeni; and the
Secretary, Com. Segun
Odunayo.
